THE UNION The tourism started in Chania at early 70's a decade, later than East Crete. At the beginning just in few hotels in city center which by the years expanded along the north coast (Agια Marina - Platanias - Kolibari) as well to the south coast. The union of rent rooms and apts founded in 1980, by few members who owned small units 3 or 5 rooms. Now number almost 250 members with 16500 beds. Most of the apts and rooms are famίly runned new builded with all the necessary facilities and warm welcome and smile from their owners aiming to offer at their quest relaxing holidays at a budget cost.
